Matt & Joe - VOL/WAH expression pedal double duty?

With my MFC, I save board space by using a toe-switch Mission pedal that acts as my volume pedal until I hit the switch, when it becomes my wah.

Is it possible to do the same thing on the FX8 using the global volume pedal option, thus saving an FX block?

Thanks!

I don't think that there is an off switch per se for the global volume. You could easily turn your wah on and control it but I think it would still be affecting your volume as well.

No, this isn't possible. In addition to its default global pedal operation, the MFC lets you customize the CC for a given pedal on a per-preset basis. The FX8 pedal assignments are always global.

You COULD however use scenes to switch between having a Volume block and a wah block engaged (as long as you don't use Auto-Engage on either).
