Matrix GT1000FX With Bass Guitar?

Everybody or most of everyone use axe-fx2 with matrix poweramp.

My question is:
Those matrix GT1000FX are good with BASS GUITAR?
Are they recommended to use with bass?

I use axefx2 with my bass (I'm a bass player). But I need a poweramp.

What's the real difference in the GT1000FX 1U and the 2U?
 
the Matrix works fine with bass - in fact there are a numbe of bass players using it with a traditional Bass Pre-amp.

The only difference between the 1U and 2U is the fan noise. The 2U is bigger (obviously) with bigger heat sinks so the fans run at a lower speed reudicing the noise. The 1U isnt loud, but the 2U is whisper quite. Mainly for those using the amp is a studio environment.
