Master of puppets for FW19

I just got a new guitar that simply needs this kind of tone so I made a tone match for FW19. I have no idea how it "should" be done but this is fun enough for me. The compressor does a lot in the original, I couldn't nail that. Maybe it's not needed for playing experience though.

Too harsh. It should sound pleasant.... Try getting the same amount of presence with the mids (but maintaining the scooped powerful feel... YES IT CAN BE DONE).

how do you go about getting that presence with the mids? is that something a PEQ block would rememdy? once I read what you said, I realized that's what I've been struggling with on a lot of my high gain stuff. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Adding some upper mids (around 2000Hz or so) might bring some presence to the tone without it sounding harsh.

The saturation switch goes a long way to achieve this. Having a bright IR also helps a bit also.
