That's my understanding too. The switches are "solid state" - they don't have the mechanical open/close mechanism so they have a much longer life span and don't have the noisy "clack" when depressed (at least, that's what I read about it - haven't seen one). And the RJ45 ("Ethercon") and FASLINK (XLR) interfaces which the Mark I doesn't have.
