mackie hd1531 vs. atomic wedgies

So should i get a mackie hd1531 or a pair of atomic wedges? how do they compare? are animals as leaders using the mackies or atomics now? I think i like the idea of the wedges more because they seem more compact as i heard the mackies weigh about one hundred pounds, but i will be getting which ever one out performs the other and i think people are favoring the mackies... thoughts, concerns, etc. appreciated. Thanks guys!

I have owned a pair of MACKIE SA1521s, and I bought and returned an Atomic Wedge. My keeper is the FBT VERVE 12ma. Why? Power, crispness and a great guitar sound. Also the smallest of the three options.

i read somewhere that the mackie hd1531 are the cream of the crop because they are 3 way speakers...

I have the mackie's-for the PA system and tried them with the axe-I like the QSC12 better. Everyone's ear are different.

Beware the Mackie HD 1535, I did a little reading up on that model and unless they have fixed the problem they are thermaling under warm conditions not to mention they weigh almost 100 Lbs :shock.
