LOVE the tone of the first riff in this video

Dont have a fender super sonic in the axe (i think that's what he's using)
I have a G&LS-500 with MFD pickups, a PRS i can coil tap, and a tele Single in the bridge, HB in the neck.

Wonder what would get me close enough,
or if someone wants to do it that is set up for it.. it takes me an hour to wire everything up, ug.

 
That's the Strat neck pickup sound. I'm not sure even a tele sounds quite like that. Personally I use Plexi type amps for this kind of a sound. The 100W one most of the time. A band like Reef is known for this type of a sound. I'm a PRS guy and a spokeperson for everyone needing to own at least one PRS but there's nothing like a strat on the neck pickup when you spank that E and it just takes over like in this clip. :)
 
Long list of amps in the Axe that can do that. Dirty Shirley, Dweezils Bman, Plexis, D/13, maybe a good dual amp set up. Try a tone match
