Looper cuts volume level. Normal?

Put the looper at the very end of the chain. Takes the level down when engaged. Normal? Googled but didn't turn up anything.

I haven't messed with the Looper settings in a while, but I think there is a setting you need to adjust for that.

Normally, I put it in parallel...

I usually put it on a separate row at the end of the grid and put the bypass state to mute then chose a level that works for the mix I want or assign a pedal to control the Looper volume.

That didn't affect anything. That's just the playback level.

I had to turn the level up 2.5 to match the bypassed state. Sounds fine now.

The mix control affects dry and playback levels oppositely. At 50% mix, setting level to +3 dB will match original level.

Other mix values require different level values to match. Parallel routing is one way to avoid searching for those. (Use 100% mix and either of the "mute" bypass modes.)
