Wish Longer delay in cab block -Solved

For the trick to widen your sound - get a better stereo separation - we sometimes use the Petrucci trick.
This s a delay of 6; 9 or more milliseconds on one side of a stereo cab.
Now you can only go as high as 1 millisecond.
You need a mono delay and two volume blocks to achieve this.
This adds up to 7% CPU.
I'm sure, a simple delay in the cab block would use a lot less CPU
And with the Ax8, every % counts ;-)

At least one volume block might be needed if the delay method was used at a certain point in the chain.

Are you already using the enhancer block in modern mode? Classic mode will do exactly what you're describing.

Since we only have one cab block in the Ax8you need:
- one block panned 100% left
- one block panned 10% right with a delay block in series

I'm not so fond of the enhancer block

Alternatively you can use the enhancer block in classic mode. Width control = right channel delay, range 0-20 ms.

The width control in classic mode is a simple delay on one channel. A longer cab block delay would be exactly the same thing. Using a delay block is also the same, assuming no drive/mod/EQ is used in delay block.

You're absolutely right Bakerman.
I tested with 2 scenes and a looper before the amp and switched continuously between the two.
The Classic enhancer does exactly what you describe.
Thanks for the tip.
