In Memory Of Chris Cornell July 20, 1964 - May 18, 2017
This is a cover song of Audioslave's Like A Stone from their 2002 self Titled Album.
This was recorded by me (Lou Soldi II) and my friend Erin Willams.
We both have been inspired by Chris Cornell's music and were deeply saddened by his death.
I'm not sure if either YouTube or SoundCloud have better audio quality but I've embed both below.
Gear I used :
* Ibanez RG421 6 String Guitar with stock pickups.
** Axe-Fx II XL+ for all the guitars and I've attached the presets I used.
** BOSS FV-500 Expression Pedal
** FAMC Liquid Foot+ (LF+) 12+ and PRO+
* Ibanez SR505 5 String Bass with stock pickups.
** I split the signal in 2, so I had a low end and high end track.
** I compressed the low end track, removed some low mid mud and used a Multiband Compressor side chained to the kick drum, so the frequencies of the kick drum were lowed on the bass by 6dB, so I could get a tight consistent low end from both the bass and kick drum.
** I used the Line 6 POD Farm 2 plugin for the high end of the bass to get a little grit, so it could be heard on small computer and cell phone speakers.
* Cakewalk SONAR Platinum DAW
* Toontrack Superior Drummer 2 with the Metal Foundry SDX RATM preset
* MeldaProduction MFreeFXBundle MAutopan plugin
* Windows 10 Pro v1703 64bit
