Just incase anyone has an incredibly outdated piece of crappy recording equipment, such as the Lexicon Lambda, I have successfully used it as a MIDI interface to connect the AXE FX Standard to my computer (I don't see why it wouldn't work for an Ultra as well).
1) Plug Lambda into computer and download latest drivers
2) Plug both MIDI cables into AXE and Lambda
3) Go into AXE Edit settings and set MIDI In/Out to Lambda
4) Connect!
I was so relieved to see that this worked!
