Let's see those FM3 rigs!

I’d love for you to get both as the cobblestone would be a great backup and report on the differences. Good luck deciding!

Honestly...by the time I get around to it, I probably will have forgotten about the question.

But...I also buy clean power amps entirely on features and reputation. As long as a clean power amp is running well within its available headroom and set flat, I've never heard a difference that mattered except that tube amps tend to essentially be low-passed and some are noisier than others.

Guitar amps...they're a different story. But, they're nowhere near linear how I set them up.

For the Cobblestone side, I keep the bottom end open as I get the flub from the FM3 but I do roll it off anywhere from 5.5K-8K depending on what amp model I’m using..

This is it after lots of different configurations…for now.

I would put my FM3 on my Pedaltrain Classic but it won't fit in the case mounted to the pedalboard. I just stick it in there by itself along with a Boss EV-30 and a Mosky Dual switch.

I pretty much have the same: FM3, Mosky, and Roland EV-5 mounted to a Pedaltrain Classic. I do run a passive volume pedal off the board before the FM3 input.

It doesn't fit in the card case, but I bought a soft case and it fits like a champ.

We had a gig on Sunday where we were going to do a promo video. In the second set, the sky opened and I quickly covered my FM3 to protect it from the rain. I think the videographer got some footage but it was largely a bust.

So....not the best glam shot of an FM3

I created a 'case' for my FM3 with a plexi shield. It's 3/4" thick plexi so I can stand directly on it.
It's the ultimate drunk barrier: Beer and drunk feet do not hit my knobs or screen.
Notice the small panel on the side where I have connections for power, 1/4 in, xlr out, USB (sometimes I swap that out for a second XLR).
I built it with plywood, cover it in Duratex (textured speaker paint), and the plexi is cheap enough to order from a local shop.
I have a loom with my 1/4", XLR, Power connections. Set up literally takes less than a minute. It all fits in an Anvil style oversized briefcase.
Entire rig in one hand....it almost feels like cheating.
I love the FM3.

Every once in a while I think about drilling a couple holes in the plexi and wiring in 1 or 2 buttons to plug into the pedal jack on the FM3. So making it a FM4/5. We'll see....
