Let's hear it for (unsung) Songwriters

Let's face it. Many artists rely on nameless songwriters to come up with gold. One I found is a very talented lady named Matraca Berg (being an 80's/90's Country kind of guy...many of these songs resonated

Co-Writer on many, but there is quite a bit here.

Not sure if JD Souther qualifies. Barry Gibb is obviously known for The Bee Gees but he practically wrote about 5 years worth of #1 hits for other artists. He made disco his beotch! I can’t think of any uknown ones....I don’t know about them

JD is a good one. My favorite of JD Souther is something he wrote for Linda Ronstadt. Prisoner in Disguise (duet.)

Not an unknown songwriter is Barry G. He penned very many great songs.
