Legato/tapping

Any advice for presets and/or amp-cab combos for legato and tapping style? PRS 408 - prefer neck pup - not as hot as others (Ibanez, etc.) Thanks

Clean or dirty? I've just been messing around with the Supremo Trem with Input Drive set at 4.6. Sounds fantastic to me for clean legato. (Will break up if you strum chords.)

Tapping works best in most cases with the bridge pickup. Legato has a better feel to me on the neck pickup.

If you like Satch, maybe try one models based on his amp.

To be fair, I don't think of these techniques to be specific to particular type of Amp or Cab.

i mean, gain makes it easier, doesn't matter the amp, really. that being said, i can tap on a clean/cleanish amp almost as easily as I can a dirty amp...technique matters most
