Left output 1 broken?

Hi!

Ok, probably not a bug but a hardware issue...

My left Output 1 (balanced and unbalanced) puts out much less level than output 1 right, regardless of the output knob.
Output 2 works fine on both sides.

What could that be? Broken output volume poti?

The difference is 6-7db.
What could cause that (on both the balanced and unbalanced Output 1s)?

Cliff commented in the past that a difference between L and R is normal. The difference on mine is bothersome (beyond what I would call "normal"), but I don't think it's as much as 6-7 dB... so your situation may be different (though maybe still considered as "normal" by Fractal Audio).

I think Cliff's advice was to use the levels of receiving equipment (mixer, FOH, computer, powered monitors) to balance things out. I don't like it, but that's what had been said at the time.

You may want to contact support to see if 6-7 dB is still considered withing specs.

I think my issue is different, it worked fine until recently.
Maybe it's a contact problem inside?

Yes, even in Bypass, regardless of the output pot position.

Tried a system reset, just to be sure?

Just opened it and reseated the connectors (though they LOOKED fine).
Issue seems resolved...

I have the same issue. Left output (almost) mute, both XLR and 1/4". I am not too comfortable with opening the unit, was it an easy fix?
I am not very technical.

Very easy. Open the lid (be careful with the wire from the fan) and reseat all the small connectors you can find...
