They are the same.
Hmmm.. There's some controversial info on the wiki :Axe-Fx II latency (and thus also the III) is 1 ms.
Hmmm.. There's some controversial info on the wiki :
"Axe-Fx II
(Axe-Fx II) "All the amps have the same "latency" and it is so low as to be imperceptible. The total system latency is about 1ms." source
AX8
(AX8) "The latency is the same as the Axe-Fx II." source
(AX8) "Latency is fixed and does not change with CPU usage. It's less than 2 ms." source"
Whatever it is, it's low enough for me
Well sure, we could say it's less than an hour tooWhat's the controversial part? 1ms is less than 2ms.
I have to walk pretty far away from my cabinet before I notice any latency at all - which is the same as if I had a regular amp. On stage, it's totally imperceptible to me.Axe-Fx II latency (and thus also the III) is 1 ms.

Um... no. Electricity travels 122,760 miles per second so you would have to have a 122 MILE cable to get 1 ms delay. You get a higher latency from having a longer cable than you do from the axe FX...
The amount of latency in the axe is so small that it shouldn't bother anyone at all.
Err... Yeah... I was thinkin more like, you are standing in the distance from your amp, because of a long cable...Um... no. Electricity travels 122,760 miles per second so you would have to have a 122 MILE cable to get 1 ms delay.
Haha! Makes sense!Err... Yeah... I was thinkin more like, you are standing in the distance from your amp, because of a long cable...
But ok
Probably has more do to with the rest of your processing chain outside of the Axe-FX.I'm much more interested in the "soundcard" latency?
Hopefully it will be much better than the II XL?
