Keeping an effect on between patches (pitch)

I'm putting together a preset that involves a pitch shift down a step. when I enable the pitch shift, I would like it to keep the effect on when switching scenes until I disable it. I've tried using a global bypass as well as a control switch, but I am having no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Your title says "between patches" but your post says "between scenes"...

Not the same things...

There's no such thing as a "global bypass" - not sure what you tried there?

You can use a Control Switch. But you need to go into CS Per Scene and set every scene to Last.

You could optionally use the Scene Ignore option on the Pitch block.

You might try to turn Scene Revert 'Off' in the SETUP menu. I no longer have the AX8 so I can't say with certainty this would work as you are wanting. The other option is to turn the Pitch block on in every scene and resave the preset.

There is no "Scene Ignore" on the AX8.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks

How do you have the foot switches set up?

Why not just have the pitch assigned to each scene (stays on when changing) and have the pitch block assigned to a footswitch (turn on/off whenever you want).

D'OH!!!

Totally missed this was in the AX8 discussion :(

Scene Revert might not work. The thing Scene Revert does is prevents a scene from reverting to saved state when you change (back) to it.

It sounds like the OP wants it to be the same in each scene when enabled in one.

I never had an AX8 and I know it has some switching options not on other devices.

To keep it active from scene to scene just need ensure that the block is active/on, hit save, done. It will stay on when changing from scene to scene.

But then it will default to on, right?

I think you guys are missing what the OP wants.

He wants to be able to turn it on (as needed) and have it be on in all scenes and remain that way until turned off.

Unless this is something different with AX8 that I just don't know about?

Correct. But he wants a separate switch to do it like a control switch.

But like I wrote above, just add the pitch block to a foot switch to turn on/off as needed. Still need to take up real estate to add the control switch or just regular pitch block.

Edit: with example
