Just made the switch from fw9 to fw10.05, too much 'grain' in the gain?

Oh and keep the gain on the T808 all the way down and adjust the amp gain as desired.

I used that as well. try the Freidman HBE and throw a T808(mod) in front of it. It sounds frightfully good. There is a high fizziness. But, 10 min worth of eq'ing and a high filter fixed that.

Thanks man! I'll try that right now! At this very moment I'm trying out the VH4, so far sounds not so bad! But even with the 'sizzle' knobs off it's fizzy a bit. I'll get on that freidman

The biggest sizzle destroyer for me was throwing a low pass filter on there. But as far as rhythms go, I'm into a lot of mid-high ranges and that's what cuts through in the mix live or in studio.
