Just an idea: off-line AxeEdit

The 3.5.1 release is a little step into the compatibility of the Axe eco-system, with the option of export blocks from Axe XL to Axe II format.
But the real goal is a full patch converter from the XL to the II machines (dropping the unsupported features just like done now for the blocks!)

Can be done? Can't be done? ... ok... no matters!

BUT an option in a new Axe Edit release... could be a good compromise!

If the Axe Edit can be set in a kind of "off-line" state - but working about patches import and showing all the blocks and parametres - the single blocks of an XL or XL+ patch can be exported in Axe II version (just like now!) an then imported when the Axe Edit is set "on-line" (connected) again!

Sorry, brother, it's not gonna happen. From the Axe-Edit release notes:
Axe-Edit works in tandem with the Axe-Fx II in a client-server type relationship, Axe-Edit requires an Axe-Fx to be connected for all operations. "Offline editing" is not supported and will not be added to any future version.
