I watched Jersey Boys the other day. So so movie but it reminded me of how much I love the Four Seasons records. I still remember the first time I heard Sherry. Such a great record. My friend, the late great Don Ciccone was in the group for quite a while. Don and I are from the same home town. I am reminded that back in those days there was no such thing as auto tune. Man those guys could sing.

I first met Don when he was in The Critters. I did many gigs with The Critters. Don had a heart attack and died in October 2016. Miss him.

I saw the movie... didn't like it so much.

Saw the play in Vegas (after the movie came out)... LOVED IT, and then I could appreciate the movie.

I'm 33, FV/Four Seasons became my favorite when I was 8 years old... my aunt gave me a cassette tape and I'd listen to Marlena over and over again

I've got to see Frankie in concert front row 2 times... (before the play, and right as the play started)... I'd go again and again but tickets went up 5x

They're legends- the best.

Despite Sherry coming out the year literally my mom was born- I still remember hearing it the first time and how nothing before it sounded like that.

I know, but only because I saw a Beatles tribute band in vegas (like 6 times) and the actor playing Ed Sullivan made a joke about it- and I googled it later.

@Jeries beat me to it...I'm guessing a lot of the young guys here wouldn't have any idea what Geritol is. Maybe @Geezerjohn could sit down with them and explain it over a nice hot cup of Sanka or Postum.

LOL, you got me on that one, Geeze. I had to Google Farfel. I don't recall seeing him as a kid. I wonder how many here remember Topo Giggio.

Back (semi) OT, a buddy of mine has been working shows with Tommy James as an apprentice sound tech. My buddy is friends with one of the guys in Tommy's band, and he was hanging out with the band so much they offered him a paid position. Tommy has been staying relatively busy playing casinos around the country.
