Did some quick shots today let me know what ya think.
The mic was my trusty SM58 that I've used on this Marshall cab for over 20 years.
Preamp is a Behringer 1204 mixer, dialed in flat.
Since this was a quick shot, I used my 1978 Marshall JMP 2203 head for the poweramp, so there is definitely that EL34 Marshall flavor. I also left all the tone controls at noon, because I wanted the coloration in there. I plan on redoing the cab later this weekend with a solid state poweramp though, so no biggie, just sharing for the hell of it.
the 1st shot is off the top left speaker, 1 inch from the grill right on the edge of the center cone.
the 2nd shot is off the bottom speaker about 3 ft back and again pointed at the edge of the center cone.
I just tried using them both together for my "I remember You" Skid Row preset and it just reeks 80's hair metal and works perfect for clean and dirty.
I have them un User Slots 40 and 41 on the included preset. This Preset is tuned to my BC Rich Jr.V Deluxe with EMG 85 in the neck for clean and rhythm and EMG 81 in the bridge for Lead.
