Man, you almost never see single coil EMGs on production guitars these days. It’s refreshing to see. HSS guitars in general almost always come with synchronized trems only now, so I love the noiseless single coil - HSS - locking trem combination. This is like the 80s with class. Plus it looks like it might be a nice anti-break volute there at the headstock, though maybe that’s common on these. Anyway, I love it!
If I haven't bought the RG8570CST recently I would have grabbed this one. As you say, perfect pup combination and with the Lo-Pro Edge
Assuming that's Koa it is about like the various (non-Ibanez) Reb Beach signature guitars: HSS EMG, Koa, gold hardware...

Reb said somewhere that only the first year (or two) were good - the natural finished ones.Man, I wanted a Voyager so badly for the longest time. I still think it's the coolest looking thing. And those things were 22 frets with a tremendous lower bout cutaway...just so perfect.
I have been to Troy MO. Took a tour of the Toyota plant there.Man this one just went on local craigslist for $1800.....I almost bought it but I really want a black or blue one.View attachment 93210View attachment 93211
Yes, Hawaiian KoaAssuming that's Koa it is about like the various (non-Ibanez) Reb Beach signature guitars: HSS EMG, Koa, gold hardware...
Definitely an '80s era guitar and not for everyone... Like many BC Rich or Jackson guitars from that time.I find the cut on the Reb Beach body awful
Out of curiosity and OT... if today you can choose only ONE guitar, what will it be?Best Ibanez I have played is actually a Genesis RG with a rewire and new pickups.
Looks great! That's hugely difficult. Today it would be this:

A Broadcaster replica exact in everything except a 16" radius and Jescar stainless 57110 frets. It plays great and sounds amazing .
