I used it back in the day. A better way to use it is to spray on your fingers instead of on the strings. You get the same effect, use a lot less product, and nothing ends up on the fretboard.
I used to use it. I'd put a piece of cardboard between my strings and the fingerboard to prevent it from getting on the wood. Now that I play my guitars constantly, I don't need it. I only used it when my guitars would sit unplayed for a while.
