Wasn't it that spillover used to work only between scenes and not between presets? And then they fixed it to allow spillover between presets only if the preset you changed to had the same block in it? I feel like I remember it happening that way, but I could easily be misremembering.As mentioned, if you think it's a bug then submit a bug report.
There have been wishes and multiple threads on the topic.
I would be very surprised if Fractal is unaware of this, and they don't let bugs linger for years...
So my own assumption would be that this is "as designed". For whatever that's worth![]()
If that is the way it happened then this is probably one of those unintended consequences of trying to find a relatively simple solution to a feature request (spillover between presets).
I'm guessing they'd need to reallocate a certain amount of memory to spillover effects and have that memory persist while the rest of the "preset memory" gets cleared to load the new preset. I'm also guessing that's a pretty monumental programming task. I say all that knowing full well that I have no idea what I'm talking about so it could be complete nonsense.
