Is there something on the FM3 that would serve as a usable bass amp / preset?

Well the Ampeg SVT models certainly sound good to me. They’re labeled SV Bass 1 and SV Bass 2. There are several factory IRs to pair with.
 
There are a number of bass amps in the FM3, as well as Bass IRs.

Not sure about factory presets...
 
Have you read through the Wiki entry for cab blocks? It lists several different bass amplifiers. Just open the page and do a search for bass.
