IR capture workarounds

Clockwork Creep

Hi there,
Unlike Axe FX, the FM3 has no built-in way to capture cab IR's.
But I am sure there should be a workaround using a laptop, an audio interface, and a mic.
So, what do you think is the best or your favorite, not axe fx, method to capture an IR? What's your software of choice?

Back in the guitarampmodeling.com days, it seemed like a lot of guys were using Voxengo Deconvolver. I think it is Windows only though. If you use Logic Pro (Mac), you could use the IR utility to capture IRs and Space Designer to load/use them. I believe there is a way to convert the Space Designer IRs to wav, as well. I use Logic but I've never used it to capture IRs, nor have I ever captured any IRs.
