ipod and axe fx at a gig? is this possible?

Hi all,
basic question, im sure youll know the answer and ill feel dumb haha.

basically, looking to see if its possible to connect something like an ipod to the back of the axe fx for track intro things/strings etc.
but be able to play the axe fx normally without it affecting the ipod track.

if that makes sense?

im looking for a basic solution to laptop into PA etc, as self dependent as possible.haha

You can use input2 and fx loop block for the iPod.
Won't be able to use the copy 1to 2 output function with the fx loop.

Pretty sure USB isn't possible with an iPod. Need laptop for that. And the sound played from USB will only come out of output 1, I believe?
