input impedance and my Jazzmaster

I use a lot of fuzzes, so I use the 90k input impedance for that, it does make them sound better.
Now with my new Jazzmaster, I noticed that sometimes my sound tinned out, off and on. Tried other cables, the same. Tried the neck pickup, and that sounded as it should.
So I thought it must have been something with the bridge pickup, but then I tried setting the input impedance to Auto (1M), and then the issue didn't occur. But then the fuzzes don't react as nice.

Any reason why the Jazzmaster has this problem, and not my Tele, TV Jones and hum bucker equipped guitars?

Yeah, this - different pickups on the jazzmaster AND they have a 1M pot, making them quite different from the typical strat/tele/Paul type guitars

Different pickups.

Make a jazzmaster preset with the auto impedance selected and never worry again.

Maybe your rhythm circuit switch is being weird.....try some contact cleaner in that and the pickup selector......and well once I'm in there I just spray everything clean too haha

I don't know why Fender messed with the pots on your newer Jazzmaster version.
My 1965 Jazzmaster has 25k pots and I love the way they work dynamically etc..
