Input and Gate Tab ........ "Front-End" Pure Volume Boost Question ?

Hi all

If I have a preset and I just want to "hit" the front end of the "Amp" block harder [ as if I was using a pure Volume-only Boost in to the front of a real tube amp to give me more grunt and grind ] is the best / most transparent / tonally-uncoloured way to do this to just increase the "Volume" control [-20db <-> +20db] in the Input Tab where the "Gate" controls also are thereby avoiding the need to insert a specific dedicated block only for this ?

Or ....... is there perhaps another better / different way to do this ?

That is your input noise gate Ben. It just happens to have a level in case you want to hit the compressor, wah, drive, amp hard, or to give things like acoustics a bump in volume plus other things.
Yes you can goose the amp with it.
