My understanding is that’s usually the case.

What really sets Fractal apart is how deep Cliff gets into all these complex interactions of obscure things that most of us have never heard of. I can’t tell you how many firmware updates have featured “improved cathode follower algorithms” and made a noticeable improvement. The latest beta firmware has “Improved Bias Excursion algorithms.” When I read firmware update notes, I get excited when I see that kind of stuff. I’m like “you had me at ‘cathode follower.’”

I think most other modelers are more focused on modeling the end result, whereas Fractal is focusing on replicating how a tube amp creates that end result.
