Ibanez Jem 7VP Opinions

Anyone here own or have played an Ibanez Jem 7VP, the Indonesian model? I’m considering one but none close to me that I can try out. I was interested in the quality of the fretwork and the guitar in general. Also I was wondering how the neck compares in feel to either a Strat or a Les Paul? I know the necks are thin but not sure how thin. I’m familiar with both Strats and Les Pauls and they are comfortable for me. Thanks in advance for any help/comments.

JEM, 7VP or the Japanese original, is a guitar that you need to try out before purchase. Some like the neck, some thing it's odd/strange. Actually I like the original JEM neck, one of the best necks I've ever tried -- but I would never pay that much money for a guitar myself.

$1800 for an Idonesian guitar?
When the real MIJ good ones are $1000-1400 used?

Strat or Les Paul? For $1800 you can buy a used custom shop and almost any LP out there

...but you want to pay $1800 for Idonesian Ibanez?

Idonesian RG 350 was basically $300, you got a slightly better bridge and inlay, that adds about $100, and you got real dimarzios, $200.

Would you trade me $600 for $1800? (the real value of that guitar vs price)

OR, I trade you $1200 for $3000 (used jem vs new MIJ JEM price)
