Ok Apple announced new mac minis : 8GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, core i3 => $799
...lol
Ok i keep my €350 500 GB SSD core i5 8GB ram...
Yes probably, but it still doesn't get me wanting one for that price...Thing is ... the new i3 is a desktop quadcore - with around the same performance as the 2012 i7 quadcore I have. It will run rings around your 2 core i5.

2014 ones, no ?It is Apple so ...
But there will be loads of 2012 i7 for sale on the used market you can pick up at cheap prices now.
2014 ones, no ?
You can get a well configured mini for $1499 usd. 1T of ssd drive adds $600. Most use external storage for video editing etc. You are not going to be doing a lot of Final Cut work without a better gpu anyways. I think the new minis are bargains.
Good to know, thanksNo - the 2012 i7 quad is a lot more powerfull than the 2014 models (in multicore performance obviously).
Already announced in previous pageAnd the new mini's have been announced.
