I just tried MG15 CDR as a PA Speaker

Hey all,

I've been using AX8 with headphones and record with my sound card since I got it.

Today I tried connecting 'FX send' on the AX8 to the 'CD in' on Marshall MG 15 CDR and I think it sounds alright.

I just want to ask if it's ok as long as I keep gain at reasonable levels or will I damage anything in the long run anyways?

I use standard mono guitar cable.

Don't worry. Whatever you do with your AX8 will not fry your amp. It might distort and/or suck soundwise, though.

I think most anything is better than playing with headphones. That little amp isn’t likely the most accurate frequency response, but it’s not like your using it for critical mixing purposes.

It’s basicslly just a lower cost powered speaker, since it’s a solid state amp and your bypassing the Preamp. Certainly coloring the sound a bit, but as long as it sounds good, then carry on. Not going to damage anything the way your using it

I often play my AX8 through the AUX IN of my Yamaha THR10 practice amp; great quiet stereo tones for days!
