I just took a factory preset from 78% CPU to 45%

I don’t know if this is covered in the manual or the FAQs, but it is unintuitive. However, it makes sense if you realize that foot/control switching means any effect can be enabled at a moments notice.

I agree, it didn't occur to me that bypassed effects would eat CPU, but I stopped to think about it ... and you go "Duh, of course".

I was seeing many of the delivered presets at CPU levels of 65-75, and it was initially unsettling. Knowing that my typical patch would max out at 70 CPU makes me feel much better.
