"Guitar Acquisition Syndrome".

I've been eyeing up Blackmachines for years and Doug has only ever replied to one, stating that "he was not accepting any orders at the time".

I've found a luthier who will build a similar style guitar for around half the price of a BM. My only trouble is...

I don't think the wife would buy the "I need to take off this knob and put a whole new guitar under it" story.

The only way to fix it (in my experience) is to scratch it

The Dallas International Guitar Festival is always a tough time for me. Tons of vintage instruments. I think next year I'll break down and bring something home with me.

Agreed. I walk it every year and never pull the trigger!
 
Since I got the Axe FX, my GAS has been in over-drive. At least I'm aware that I need to sell a few to get this next one I'm planning... but what a guitar it will be!
