When I was a teenager walking through my village in Spain going to a rehearsal I was stopped by the Guardia Civil. Even though Franco was already dead, that militarized police still had dictatorial oppressive manners and perceived young men with long hair as anarchist rubbish.

They asked me to open my guitar case and I nervously smiled when I saw my black Squire Strat instead of weapons. What a relieve! But bloody moment that I decided to smile! These f*ing bastards said that I was laughing at them and gave me a hard time.
