How would you revise layouts to be more intuitive?

I always need to really sharpen my brain before I start messing with layouts. What do you think would be a good change up, firmware wise, to make it stupid simple? You have Switches, Show edits on, Show as, Views,etc..... Very confusing to me. Thoughts?

It really depends what your needs are and what you need to access. Just try and keep it simple. I have a layout for my presets and a layout for my scenes. Those are my 2 main ones. I can access my presets in the scenes layout by holding FS 1 on my FC6. I have bank up and down available to me as well and have it set so it doesn't load any presets till I step on one. Then it goes to my scene layout when preset is selected.

Have you tried Cooper's Axe III or FM3 masterclass? We all highly recommend it. Cooper explains everything in depth on everything including the FC controllers and layouts. Worth checking out!

Designing layouts is a truly creative exercise. To synthesize something new, be sure you understand what you have.
Try using JUST the perform layouts. Pretend that's all you have.
See how it works. Don't worry about what you're missing. Focus on what you do.
Look at the Footswitch Functions Guide.
Also, do the tutorial I wrote in the manual.
