How to use FCB1010 (w. EurekaPROM) external switch jacks??

Hi guys,

Midi newb here.

Just picked up a FCB1010 with EurekaProm.

From a review of various posts I understand that the FCB1010's relayed "External 1" and "External 2" jacks are for turning external gear on/off ie: you cannot plug a switch or expression pedal into them.

Is this correct, and if so, is there any practical use for them with the Axefx?

the relay jack are just as you stated. no they will not work as any kind of input. Not any use for the axe fx I see, unless you are using an amp with multiple channels and you want to utilize this switching with your fcb 1010.
 
They could connect to the Axe-FX pedal 1/2 ports and control something. The only useful example I can think of is additional Ext Ctrls that work like scene controllers, where you want to change some parameter while staying on one Axe-FX preset. Doing that wouldn't make much sense unless you already used both scene controllers and whatever CCs the FCB can transmit with the switch you'd be pressing.
