How to update firmware using Fractal-Bot.

Hello Everyone,

This may be a stupid question; but, can someone tell me how to connect AX8 to a computer for a firmware upgrade?

I have been connecting AX8 to my computer via USB cable for AX8 Edit and have had no issues.

I installed Fractal-Bot last week and tried to connect AX8 via USB cable; but, FB did not recognize the USB connection. So, I tried connecting AX8 using UNO MIDI to USB converter. FB seemed to recognize AX8; but, it gave me the timeout error message whenever I chose AX8 MIDI for the third drop down box option.

Is there something wrong with the UNO cable or should I be using a USB instead?

Can anyone tell me how to properly connect AX8 and use Fractal-Bot for a firmware upgrade?

connect you AX8, open fractal bot, select the ax8 in the fractal bot #1 step, locate the FW update in step #2 and press GO in step #3.

Follow the pop up indications when they show.

As simple as that.

IF you are not connecting to the AX8 in step #1, try different USB cables, different USB ports, if none of that works, contact Fractal Support.
