How to tone match a specific pedal?

I have a Ibanez Steve Vai Jemini Pedal, and was wondering how I can go about tone matching it using the AFX? Just wanna try it and see if it's possible.

TIA!

Tone matches are linear EQ curves, so you can capture the general frequency response of the pedal, but the breakup and compression characteristics of overdrive and distortion pedals are beyond the scope of EQ.

Your best bet would be to choose a similar sounding drive pedal in the Axe and tweak it to sound as close as possible. Then use a tone match block after it to refine the tone even further.

Can you just use the pedal with the axe fx. I have the same pedal and would love to have it in the chain just to step on for a quick boost but not sure where to put it in the chain. Coming out of the guitar into pedal and then in the front or in the effects loop or not reccomended
