How To Speak Brithish

We use, or at the very least understand almost all of these in Australia. Never heard "up the wooden hill..." Or "have a butcher's" but chances are good I could decipher them from context.

I never knew the providence of "brass monkeys"; I always thought it referred to testicles. In Oz we have a similar term, "spanner water". So cold, it tightens up your nuts...

A spanner is a wrench for those wondering.
