How to set up MFC to change amp channel with scenes

hi everyone, I'm looking for a little help. I will be getting a Mesa JP2C soon and am looking to do the 4cm with my Axe Fx. My question, is there a way to leave the MFC in axe fx mode (as I like seeing IA names, tuner, etc) but using scenes to change amp channels on the JP2C?

Basically I guess I am asking if the MFC can send scene change to axe fx while sending a cc message on another midi channel to the amp simultaneously? And if so, how to program it to do that.

After reading more of the manual, I think you change an IA switch to none, and then it allows you to set up 2 cc messages at the same time, one on channel 1 to ax2 set to a scene # cc and one to channel 2 to JP2C to make which ever changes I want, does this sound correct?
