how to load a patch in sysex format?

Silly q really - but Ive never done this.

Someone has sent me a patch in a sysex file. I have this on my PC.

How do I load it into the axe, in a specific patch slot?
 
I do have Axe Edit, and hadve the patch it that - however for some reason I cant get Axe-Edit to recognise my hardware.

I normally use Bomes SendSX when doing firmware updates.

Im presuming I can use that - but just want to put the patch into a specific location. dont want to overwrite one of mine.
 
SendSX: Put the Axe-FX on the number where you want the preset to be (using the front panel), doubleclick the sysex file, it loads in SendSX. Hit send in SendSX, the midi led lights, the preset loads in the Axe-FX edit buffer (You can see the name change on the front lcd). Save the patch on the Axe front panel. You can also save it to another preset number still. The buffer doesn't save until you tell it to.
