set up delay block
mono is easiest
go to delay time, hit enter assign delay time to lfo 1
set start at 0%, mid 2, end 3.9 (you can play around with this but keep it low)
go to feedback, hit enter
assign to a expression pedal or IA
start =0, mid 50, end 100%
set mix 50% or less if you still want dry, 100% if not

hit controller button on the axe-fx
go to lfo 1
set type to Saw Down
set Rate from .050 Hz to .3 Hz
go to depth, hit enter
assign depth to the same external controller you set feedback to.
start 0, mid 50,end 100
play with duty for different feels

Sweep expression pedal or hit switch for the effect to kick in.

This is just a start. You'll have to play around to get something that works for you.

I hope that gets some of you started in the right direction

You could use a flanger or pitch block to get a similar effect as well I imagine.

I'll post a clip shortly.

That's pretty cool, man :)
It evolves a bit, it's not just a static one time effect.

I believe you would need a square wave form for it not to evolve. That is easy to do.

Turning the feedback off helps it to keep from evolving so much. You need natural feedback to keep it going though.

let it run from left to right, add a slight pitch shift ramping from +3 to -3 for a proper doppler effect and call it cop car :D

seriously though, the ability to tweak the delay time parameter and get the same sonic maddness=goodness you'd get with a tape echo when sliding the playback head around (I loved to do that) was another unexspected but very big bonus for me.

I didn't even know it could be done properly in the digital domain.

I will assume such things no more...
