How to connect AX8 to Focusrite Clarett 2pre by digital data channel?

From AX8 manual:
S/PDIF OUT – This outputs a digital copy of the Main Output. The S/PDIF clock is fixed at 48kHz.

Unfortunately Clarett doesn't have S/PDIF input. But it has optical one. From Clarett manual:
OPTICAL INPUT – a TOSLINK connector carrying eight channels of digital audio in ADAT format at 44.1/48 kHz sample rate, four channels at 88.2/96 kHz or two channels at 176.4/192 kHz. These are simply additional inputs to the Clarett 2Pre

Is it possible to use converter? Which one will fit?

ADAT and SPDIF are different protocols so a simple coax-Toslink converter will not work. You would need a box with a processor to convert the protocols.

RME ADI 4 DD plus a coax-Toslink converter. Together a lot more expensive than just getting a new audio interface with SPDIF support.

I see, thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to exchange for Clarett 4pre, which has SPDIF onboard.
