How space affects your sound

This really hit me as i just moved little over a month ago. I had my presets perfect for last few years as they were built around a much larger space. I was sitting a good 10ft away from my CLR's. The new place has carpet, vs hardwood, lower ceilings etc. Also closer playing proximity. I've gotten lazy as my presets were pretty set and now have to go back to the drawing board. I thought at first my Axe was borked then was recalling so many threads in the past about fletcher munson etc. Here i go tweakin again...

Exactly why people always say how silly/ironic it is when folks obsess over getting the “right/best” monitor solutions yet use them in untreated acoustic spaces.

sound treatment is massively more important, noticeable than differences between models and brands
