How do you take the buffers out of a Boss pedal?

is that a snip job? It's a boss CP-1X, it's at the front of the chain but the buffer sucks all the fun out of the OD-20 fuzz. The Multi Dimensional Processing works crazy good on compressor, it feels just like a power amp sagging, high end still comes through, the lows bloom and flex and get out of the way, it's all perfectly balanced, way better than even a multi comp. I just need to get rid of the buffer...

The Boss pedal mods I've seen require snipping out transistors and adding jumpers and wires.

The CP-1x may have the same bypass circuit but different component locations and numbering. I'd just get a small A/B box to switch the compressor out of the path, or put the fuzz first.

I just got a couple of these one control things, super cheap 2 loop true bypass switches with a one-in-two-out 9v power splitter...70 bucks, super cute, with two end-to-end you can smash all four loops at once, with as many pedals in each loop as you want...
