How do I get the Axe-FX MTD to sound like orchestral string synth?

I heard someone doing this and using an expression pedal along with the MFC-101 to fade it in and out. Any ideas of the settings? Thanks for your help!

They would play a chord down low and then fade in the simulated string sound an octave up. I assume it may be pitch shift and shimmer, but I'd love to know exactly....

Can my tone suit? But this is not a synthesizer, it's the sound of MultiDly. If you want to decay the strings an octave upward, change Shift 1 to MultiDly +12. Exp1 -String level. Cab -Echoplex PREAMP is freely available on the forum. (I do not remember where I downloaded it). All claims to translate Google translator.

yes, just use the plex shift and feed that into a reverb, both at 100% in a side chain

top tip - when using the plex to create ambient reverbs, don't set the four delay times to tempo subdivisions, because they will end up occasionally lining up (at some point) and what you want to achieve is density. so set all four times manually and choose random values between about 250ms and 500ms. the shortest delay time will effectively be your "pre delay"
