i saw this video of ola englund explaining how he uses the axefx for monitoring but has the dry signal go to the
audio interface. he later uses ez mix 2 on the tracks.

i was wondering how i could do this. my audio interface at the moment is the Komplete Audio 6. thanks!

Output 3-4 from the axe-fx are by default a dry DI signals (unless you have changed this to mirror output one or use the fx loop). If you record via USB, the level is fixed, and if you're recording via cablet I would crank the output of 3-4 to the max, to ensure max signal-to-noise ratio.

hey man what do you mean by cablet?, and if 3-4 is the output. should it be connected to the input of the audio interface?

Hey again :) If you don't use your AxeFx as a soundcard, and instead go directly into your audio interface via jack cables (not cablet as i wrote, sorry), then output 3+4 are the DI signal (or can be set to be them at least). I often do this if ie. i need to record guitar on a session that is not in 48hz (which most still aren't).
If you use the axe fx as your audio interface, simply create an additional mono track w input 3 or 4 and mute it. Then you can always record a dry signal as well for reamping later.
