"How can I help?"

my gigging days are behind me, but I still can bend a few ears. And I do faithfully advise with feverish energy, my belief that the best way to describe this thing, is that it is simply guitar porn (of the highest quality, and regularly updated)

Kidding of course. But i do love when i do get the chance to spread the word and let ppl demo it

A quick story to illustrate M@tts point in OP:

I once got to sit in the front row of a Steely Dan concert in Bristol Virginia, courtesy of a great friend (Jonas of HusBand). Got to talking to guy sitting next to me about guitars, and I told him all about the Fractal and monitors and how awesome it was. He soaked it all in.

Flash forward a month. In a beta team email (I believe) M@tt writes how ecstatic he was, he had gotten a call from a guy who had heard all about the Fractal from a "knowledgable dude" and proceed to buy an Axe-Fx II and MFC101. M@tt somehow figured out that person who pumped him up to check it out was in fact me!

It feels GOOD to be a Fractal Evangelist, and help other people find their tone and joy and inspiration!

I don't even play out any more and have had my II XL and MFC since the year the XL came out. I play at home with backing tracks and do a little recording (with great joy every time). GUITAR TONE has been (and usually is for many) a life long quest. I am 65 this year. It's a no brainer - do you want to die before you get it? Just get it!

an evening evaporator (...) I keep coming home from work intending to do other things after I plug in for a bit. Then I look up at the clock after exploring some sonic landscapes and I realize that I'm really tired and it's time to go to bed.

Hahaha - exactly the same here!
In fact this even starts to become a problem for me as I'm not getting my other 'homework' done (actually practice, prepare for gigs etc.) :(

On topic: I had heard about AxeFx before, but mainly from some 'hobbyist home guitarist' coworkers a few years back and thought 'well, these guys can afford that expensive stuff because they are not serious musicians but career peeps having an expensive hobby', so I didn't really consider it. Later, I kept hearing more & more from/about 'pro' players that I personally know & dig are using Kempers now, which encouraged me to consider looking into what had happened on the 'modeler front' since my past experiences with a Line6 "AX2" combo many years back (almost the only 'amp' I ever sold -'nuff said... :p)

Around that same time, the AX8 became finally available - which then seemed exactly what I was looking for, as I had mostly ended up gigging with some 'small alternative' setups to my 'full' rig after having quit the 'big gigs' cover band I was playing with and suddently needed a.s.a.p. (as small as possible) setups. So there was this 'What if I could take all my sounds with me in just that little box, even for fly-in gigs ??!?' that attracted me the most.

Then I dug into what's different between Kemper and Fractal concept wise, which made me decide for Cliff , as I don't own much original equipment and have no recording studio for capturing 'my original sounds', so I wanted to get true amps virtually rebuilt and not just pictured and framed (in a toaster) ones. :p

Then, the 30-days-money-back option of ordering at g66.eu made it easy to just give it a try (once the money was collected  ) - however returning it was no more an option already on day 1.5 ... :D

... and since that day, I'm definitely an evangelist too - keep telling & demoing everyone about that fabolous little thing I have there, what it is capable of etc., but also what an extremely awesome person Cliff and his crew are, and about the phantastic Fractal community out there!:cool:

I see jaws dropping on the floor all the time when we play out there like what are you playing
I say it's Axe effects baby

This is pretty cool.

I'm a long time FAS products user and am designing a website for my teaching business in Australia.

I'd like to use the FAS logo on my website to link back to the FAS home page. I want to do this with all of the gear I use in a "DJPT uses but is not endorsed by...." fashion.

Is it ok to do this? If so, where woud be the best place to locate high quality graphics I could use?

Thank you in advance.

David.

and for the first time in my life Im not going to be using tube amps racks of effects and pedals for my sound! Its a great time in history to be a guitar player thank you Fractal for all you do to make great Gear for us guitar Players Fractal Tone in a Box!
Welcome to the Crazy Train! It'll be an awesome ride for you!

I've been a fan of several bands you listed, and covered many of their songs over the years. Great to have you in the forum! Most here were also heavy tube users who couldn't imagine performing without lots of glowing glass in the backline. You get past it pretty quickly. :) I still have a bunch of amps at home, and enjoy them too, but all of my gigging has been FAS since 2011. Can't imagine going back.

Hi all.
Firstly I know I’m probably going about this all wrong but I’m at my wits end trying to sort a problem with my Mackie HD 1531.
I took it to my local tech guy who sorted out a strange buzz. Unfortunately he ceased trading, though I got my HD 1531 back he had not reinstalled the amp module. So I now have the issue of working out which connection goes where. I’ve done all the google stuff but no joy.
Anyone got an answer, a picture would be most helpful.

Regards

Chris

Yes... You are going about it all wrong.

This is a thread about how YOU can help Fractal. I'm not sure why you would pick this particular thread to hijack as it is completely unrelated.

Try creating a NEW post either in the Lounge or Amps and Cabs section... Although your question is not really a Fractal one. You'd probably get better results in a Mackie or Pro Audio forum.

Great words "Guitar Tone is a life long Quest". Thanks Fractal!

And it might be worthwhile throwing a little swag in the box when people order, that helps get the word out also. T shirt, hat, license plate/surround, window decal. Heck, socks and sweatbands if you feel like it! But even if you only threw them in every fifth purchase or something, those folks would have and display FAS swag! I'd totally wear it when we play out! And what better time that now as the 3 comes out.
