Hook up help !

hi everyone
I've got a blackstar ID100w head I use for noodling in the house via the Mac as my main
rig is too loud to practice with in the evening with out killing my kids
I was wondering if anyone had any tips in terms of hooking the fx 8 up to the ID series so I can tweak a few of my presets before unleashing them on my JVM410HJS?

what do you need help with? have you tried what it says in the user manual?

Thanks for the reply, I've tried using the cable method outlined in the manual against what blackstar say the equivalent inputs are on the head but with out much joy - I'll persevere again tomorrow and report back !
 
you plugged an output of the FX8 into the instrument input of the ID and didn't hear anything?

since your amp has only 1 input, there's only one way to do things:

set all effects as PRE type in your presets, and use the Pre Out jack on the FX8.
